Screw-top vials also come in different sizes, with vial caps made of either aluminum for crimp seals or plastic. Amber glass vials are available in 2-60 ml volume with a screw top. Inserts work in conjunction with any autosampler and fit either standard or wide openings vials.
HPLC bottles hold the mobile phase of high-performance liquid chromatography, often acting as a reservoir for the solvent. Glass inserts are sold in two diameters for 2mL vials; one for standard opening (4.6 mm) vials and another for large opening (6 mm). The volume will vary depending on the length and the style of insert.
